Who are you?

My name is Catherine and I'm currently based in Seoul, South Korea. I started collecting kimono 9 years ago, when a lovely houmongi caught my eye on eBay and I haven't looked back!

If you love kimono so much, why on earth are you selling them?

I have found that, as I've learned more about kimono and how to wear them, my tastes have gradually changed.  I have many pieces that just don't get the love they deserve. The other reason: space. I can't make my apartment bigger! If I am to collect anything more, I need to make more room!

Are you crazy? Get the heck out of there and move to Japan!

Ah, yes. The age-old question. The only thing as awesome as kimono is my job. I'm doing what I love to do, and what I love to do is allowing me to do other things I love to do, like collect kimono. Eventually though, I will make my way to Japan (or hastily, depending on our Northern neighbors).
